At first, I just took vocal samples, added beats and bass. Then I experimented with synths and as a result I got a dancing breakbeat track. Then I got interested and Googled what Guama is. And that's what I found by arranging and arranging the text from different sources...

Pre-Columbian Cuban land, the Cuban Taino Indians and their village of Guama. It was here that Christopher Columbus in 1492 met those Indians (Taino) on the shore, who then presented tobacco to the members of the expedition, which later became a cult plant throughout Europe.

The village was named after the Indian of the same name. Guama was the leader of the Taino rebels and led an uprising against Spanish rule in Cuba in the 1530s. And his brother Oliguama killed Guama out of jealousy of his wife.

Now the village and the way of life of the Indians of that era have been restored on that very spot, the place has been transformed for tourist attraction. Guama today is a restorers' view of what an Indian settlement in Cuba looked like in the pre—Hispanic era.

There are new-made huts on the vast territory, near many of which life-size statues of Indians were installed in 1962. They are depicted during hunting, fishing and other routine activities. Fidel Castro himself took part in restoring the appearance and historical authenticity of the village.

Once upon a time, real Cuban Indians lived here. Today they are replaced by wax figures and animators of the village.

There is also a belief that the Indians who lived here drowned their valuables in the lagoon so that they would not get to the conquistadors.

That's the story...

And the track, it turns out, to some extent speaks about how good it was in that very village when real Tainos lived in it and before the Spaniards came there. We wanna Guama, we want to go to Guama...
